FILM POSTERS EXHIBITION Krzysztof Kieślowski's Decalogue
For fans of Krzysztof Kieślowski and film poster design, the Museum of Cinematography in Łódź has prepared an exhibition of his famous Decalogue series. A unique collection of film posters from all around the world and including iconic Polish poster artist such as Andrzej Pągowski and Jakub Erol, the exhibition is a testimony to world wide popularity of this influential Polish film director.
Krzysztof Kieślowski’s Decalogue is a series of ten one-hour dramas, originally made for Polish TV between 1988 and 1989. This brilliant series of separate but subtly intertwining films transcended the boundaries of film and TV, winning honours in both arenas as it played around the world.
The exhibition has been organised by The Museum of Cinematography in Łódź as part of a cycle of projects dedicated to the director titled The World According to Krzysztof Kieślowski as a dedication to the director on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of his birth and 15th anniversary of his death.
